Technology Support Officer
Location: Based in our Dalston office with flexibility to WFH
Contract: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)

About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to support the technology needs of our team and organisation, including managing basic desktop support as well as various office-based tasks. The successful candidate will enjoy interacting with people and working with different systems.
You will be working in a growing technology team. The role also offers the opportunity to work on some of our more strategic projects and gain experience in new and established technologies and systems.
About you

This role would suit a proactive desktop or IT support officer/analyst with two to three years’ experience and problem-solving abilities. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and collaboration skills across all levels of a business. The role will be varied, providing desktop support and assistance and helping improve our physical IT and office environment.
Key responsibilities
- Desktop support
- Support and troubleshooting for users in office and remotely, including queries and issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Supporting various systems including cloud desktop (Citrix/Windows), CRM (Dynamics 365), loan management system (third party supplier).
- Support with technology and physical IT in the office including set up of new laptops or desktops, maintenance of printer and IT supplies, assistance with technology and AV in meeting rooms.
- Manage user access to systems in compliance with security policies.
- Employee onboarding and offboarding:
- Account setup across relevant systems, including request to third party suppliers as needed, provision of hardware, any assistance as required on start date.
- Deactivating leavers accounts and recovery of any IT corporate assets.
- Manage incidents with third party suppliers, raising request and following through to resolution, including communication to internal stakeholder as required.
- Hardware Management and Troubleshooting: Oversee the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware and peripherals
- Supporting the management and maintenance of the organisation’s intranet (on SharePoint)
- Responsible for supporting the production of a range of regular reports and providing timely data and information to various stakeholders.
- Ad hoc project work as required.
- Any other duties as required by the Company that are commensurate with the position.
Skills and experience
- Desktop support experience, including:
- Ability to understand/analyse issues and come up with solutions
- Experience dealing with computer hardware (set up, issues), networking (cabled, WIFI)
- Ability to multi-task and excellent prioritisation skills
- Raising and managing resolution of incidents with suppliers.
- Knowledge/experience of Windows 10/11, Office 365, Exchange, SharePoint.
- Experience working directly with technology suppliers.
- Good Excel skills.
- Experience of managing a VOIP system.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Good stakeholder management/people interaction skills.
- Knowledge/experience of Dynamics 365/Power automate is desirable.
- Coding knowledge is not essential but would be helpful.
- Interest in technology and willingness to learn.
