Location: Based in our Dalston office with flexibility to WFH
Reporting to: Head of Finance
Contract: 3 Month Fixed Term Contract, full-time or part-time
Salary: £30,00 per annum (pro-rated for the period of the contract)

About the role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, the role will provide day-to-day administrative support to the finance team, as well as having their own duties and responsibilities. This is a varied and busy role which is integral to the smooth running of the finance department.
About you
You will be an experienced bookkeeper with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, with a strong working knowledge of SAGE.

You will enjoy providing an exceptional service to the finance department and wider business. The successful candidate will be organised, detail orientated and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management of the finance department inbox; attend to queries or redirect more complex questions/queries to the appropriate member of the finance team.
- Processing department post: scanning and filing and highlighting to the appropriate member of the team if any post received requires urgent attention.
- Electronic filing of department documentation as required.
- Processing employee expenses, adding them to accounting system (Sage), and logging.
- Maintaining petty cash account and undertaking a monthly reconciliation.
- Reconciling bank transactions and filing all bank statements and letters.
- Maintaining accurate supplier details and setting up new suppliers in Sage.
- Processing supplier invoices using Sage.
- Investigating and resolving any supplier queries.
- Selecting invoices for the weekly payment run.
- Assisting with all month-end tasks as directed by the Head of Finance and finance team.
- Providing support for regular finance reporting cycles and making requests for information.
- Supporting the annual audit process by ensuring filing is up-to-date and preparation of documentation.
- Ad hoc project work.
- Any other duties as required by the Company that are commensurate with the position.
Skills and Experience:
- Organised approach to work with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Hands on approach with an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a busy environment.
- Comfortable working with numbers.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Good knowledge of Excel and Outlook is advantageous.
